This Diwali .

Human beings often forget that we are largely dependent on Mother Nature and becoming ignorant towards taking care of it.
In this COVID - 19 Lockdown cenario the environment has told the humans that Mother Nature can take care of her self.
But, as the festive seasons come nearer in India, the environment would once again be gambled.
Before looking into this, let us see how has the environment in India revived it self during the Lockdown period :-

1. Improvement in air. See the two pictures below and say nothing.

2. Dolphins near Kolkata ghats also known as Ganges Dolphins have been spotted back in the river after 30 years.

3. The number of flamingos has increased in Mumbai.

4. The Ganga water in Haridwar is fit for drinking now.

These beautiful changes in the nature and the environment might be temporary if we do not take a firm step.

According to Google,  Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights.
But according to most of us,  Diwali is the Hindu festival of fire and ashes.

I do not say that we should not celebrate this Diwali, but let us make this Diwali special for the environment and many others.

The purpose of writing this blog is to let you know and give you some good reasons why you should give up bursting crackers this Diwali.

1. Other living beings / pets / animals

Every day I see people sharing on their instagram stories that how brutally some animals are killed or harmed by humans.
By bursting crackers we also harm the animals in an indirect way.
So this Diwali, give up bursting crackers and be their superhero.

2. Child labour.

The story of thousands of child labours employed in firework factories is not unknown to you. These children working in the hazardous factories often face fatal accidents or in worse cases death.
So, the only way to save these children is to say no to crackers !
When the demand dies, supply will die and eventually child labour will die.
So this Diwali be their superhero.

3. Fire accidents .

Fire accidents are common in cracker markets. A small spark is enough to set ablaze the whole region, and the accident could damage properties and even lives.
Why risk your lives?
So,  be your superhero.

This Diwali you have 3 chances of becoming a superhero. Don't waste them

BE A SUPERHERO.
